Currently our training begins at age nine years. However, if a child younger than age nine years demonstrates the necessary focus, discipline and skill to participate in the elementary school sessions, an exception might be made, subject to Coach Mike's discretion.How long are the sessions?
Our session durations vary: group training and private group sessions typically span 1-2 hours. However, our Seasonal Camps offer a three-hour immersive experience.Do you offer any military or multi-sibling discounts?
Our monthly Group Training Program rate is discounted from the per session rate. (Over a 50% saving.)What happens if my child is in middle school, but has been playing with high school students?
At Quest Basketball, our goal is to enhance each player's basketball IQ. We aim for them to grasp fundamental concepts and effectively apply them in a game setting. We carefully assess and place each player in training sessions that facilitate their development.How often should I practice basketball to see improvement?
Consistency is key.. Attend group training sessions consistently and on off-days, dedicate quality time to fundamental drills and skill building. Integrate dribbling practice into daily routines, like dribbling to the mailbox, while walking the dog, or to the car. There's no such thing as too much practice!What else can I do to become a better basketball player?
Many basketball players also compete in track. Track workouts enhance cardiovascular endurance and overall conditioning. Sprinting drills improve speed, agility, and aids rapid movements on the court. Track workouts that include plyometric exercises that can increase your vertical jump and explosiveness, aiding in rebounds and blocks. Track workouts can contribute to strengthening muscles, tendons, and ligaments, potentially reducing the risk of common basketball injuries.
